DARK SIDE WANA BE

One thing about the darkside debate, is that there will be joyful laughter at some point. We are all riders at the end of the day........but as humans we gotta debate something, and this one can get comical!

Well now!!!!!!! You just brought up a whole new reason not to run a car tire. Because if it increases rolling resistance, that fact means that it also will take more energy from the entire drivetrain, including the engine, so it will undoubtedly cause the engine to need to use more fuel. Just like larger tires on a bicycle increasing rolling resistance cause the human engine to have to work much harder. So if the motor is getting worse fuel economy then over time, you are spending more money, negating the money you saved on the cheaper car tire, while at the same time, increasing your chances of a catastrophic injury from the tire rolling off of the wheel bead that it was not intended to be mated up to............. @-;!$?@#€~*¥+{>

That was the sound of me dropping the mic as I walk off the stage :D

Penuriuosly or parsimoniously o_O
I still to this day do not understand the relationship of buying the biggest bike on the market and being concerned about gas milage. One thing I did not concern myself with while watching the vid on the Rocket X. Did cry in my beer and ended up with a tiled kitchen from hell so I could run down to Texas and pick one up. WIfe said Kitchen first and we kicked butt.:laugh::laugh::laugh::laugh:

Right on brother! My mileage dropped from 210-220 down to 150-160 when I installed Ramair & Hanso richer tune and I could care less about it!
So that's why it's stupid to run a Ct to save money to me. In your case it's more about the hassle of changing it out so often. I get that

The Harley used to get 48 miles to the gallon and now it is down to about 22 miles to the gallon I think. It is a lot of fun to ride now as compared to when it was stock. It just ****s and gets. Every Time I made a mod it would lose Gas mileage. I am afraid the Rocket is next. If I want good gas milage I'll just have to drive the fiat.

I agree that a 850 pound bike sporting a car engine cannot be expected to do wonders in the gas mileage department, but opportunity so long as there is some, is worth pursuing....but, if I keep putting in tunes that extract more of what the engine can offer, I may be going backward. Oh well, most of the time my Rocket gets about as good a mileage as my Intruder which has an engine half the size.

YOU dont have to get poor gas mileage to get horsepower my modded 250HP Rocket can get 40+ mpg on the highway cruising at 75mph + its not tuned correctly if your mileage is that poor at 22mpg .

Yes indeed and the tooth fairy is real along with the Easter bunny.:roll::roll::roll::roll::roll::roll::roll::roll::roll::roll::roll::roll::roll::roll:
The jokes on you your the one getting 22mpg when you should get almost double that cruising down the highway you need a retune that thing must smell like a 2 stroke .
