Now here it's almost $1600 :-(
I don't recall what I paid. At those prices I just want to forget and not let it stay in my head. I've got limited space up there anyways so I just let it go. I am going to have all my bikes working properly so I will pay what it costs to perform well.

that instrument cluster is ultrasonic welded with a moisture release port on the back/bottom side,

you have to dremel cut open it and not sure how in the world you will close it back? like gorilla glue it? and how will you make sure that moisture wont go in again?

and then you figure out how to replace that glass and with what?

try to claim warranty repair from triumph its a known issue.

did you have any screen guard protector on instrument glass?

Perhaps negotiate with the ebay seller and buy it, then go to dealer and get it paired for $100 or whatever hourly charge they have, it doesnt take that long to pair it if you are installing/mounting it by yourself which is very easy, of course, confirm with your dealer before buying from ebay seller.

Great news. After sale department of triumph UK despite my bike being out of warranty agreed as a goodwill gesture to provide new unit!
Dealer will probably charge me to have it fitted but at least don't have to pay £1250 .
because its an known issue. if you go see on FB, there are above 100 complaints from last couple years about cracked cluster glass, they all got it replaced for free regardless of warranty, dealer should not charge as its a good will gesture for warranty.

What I meant dealer will charge me for 1.5 hours labour.
but no doubts better £175 than £1250

Curious if a dashboard screen protector would have kept the glass from cracking. I have one on mine. It does keep the sun glare away but it is a little harder to read/see the small print such as the clock in the upper right corner. Not sold on my protector because of the diminished line of sight but it does keep the screen clean and who knows, it may keep it from cracking from the sun or from hitting a pothole.
