Chirping Crickets after Ramair, Hate them CRICKETS!

I put the K&N 2780s on and I am very pleased with the results. The crickets dont really bother me. I had a KZ 1000 with K&N pods and it sounded like crickets, dragons, and KAMIKAZEE all the time. I loved it. Its almost like the smell of napalm in the morning. Its the SOUND of VICTORY!
The 2780's are ok with stock exhaust, especially if you insist on keeping the bearclaw intact. I've ridden one, and the crickets don't bother me.
But they won't breathe enough for the kit Carpenter is putting in my bike. I can't see spending that much on the motor, and not coming out with all the power it can give me. Bob said the K&N 4040's only loose 5hp compared to no filter at all.

I agree with what you are saying. I had received a lot of good advice from this forum and merely letting you know how I like the results. I did see some place that you are doing something with Carpenter. What exactly are you going to do? I am not ready to go with a big inch kit with this bike yet. In fact I am thinking I may buy another one to Hot Rod. I see there is a 240 kit available. That makes me excited.

You will need an extension cable - I make them to order $50 AUD plus shipping

It's not a bigger displacement kit, just letting it breathe better, and turn more RPMs.

It's not advertised on the site but I'm getting the 265 hp kit, and getting the gears undercut so it shifts smoother.

I know this subject has been touched before, but just putting it out there. After the TORs and Ramair set up, I downloaded with TuneECU one of HansO's Tunes. ( Big shout out to HansO It was awesome of him to send me the tune, no charge and he did it right away! Thanks again HansO ) I honestly don't feel a noticeable power difference, I like the Intake induction sound sound, but HATE the crickets LOL It just sounds like a bad tuned engine. How many guys does the Crickets bother, or am I being too anal???? Do you guys think the "crickets" were always there, but just hidden with the stock, intake set up? And does anyone think this cricket sound is something bad for motor? ALL COMMENTS APPRECIATED ! Thanks!
Get a Bluetooth Scala Rider for your helmet they are freakin nice!! turn up your Pandora on it and go...no problem!! Seriously?....Seriously!! All kidding aside, it is a killer setup and you can talk on the phone at 70 mph if you so choose.

That is friggin awesome. Have fun with that. I was looking at the 240 HP kit for a Hot Rod build. I like the looks of this bike with wire wheels. And a lower stance. I think its from Germany but I like it. I would add some wide drag bars and a nitrous kit. HA HA HA (evil laugh).

Sometimes people forget that not everybody hasn't been here since 2004. Or that new people asking questions keeps a forum alive.

It's not just forgetfulness. Some people live in other parts of the world with different time zones and may have just logged on to find 3 new pages of posts. It's 8.02 pm here and I've just finished dinner.
You also can't rule out that maybe some people simply can't be bothered helping certain individuals.
