It's just been really bugging me about the 2" primary thing, I needed to math it out for myself to clearly see if it is in-fact beneficial or an ego thing.
A thought just occurred to me, the stock injectors are REALLY at the ragged edge with the 265 kit and Brute.
Another reason why the PCV is used as it intercepts the signal to the injectors allowing max pulse width ratio to run at 100%. something tune boy or tune ecu can not change so intercept the signal after the ecu and adjust from there. I'd be curious to see the numbers using their new baffle in there pipe to see how much is lost. It seems to be even smaller then mine. I see from your numbers his torque has dropped since the first beast he built which were the 240 kits in fact thats all they had at that time.
@Claviger Rob,
I tried this last year and could not find the valve and timing & duration info.
I'm curious, where did you find this?
BTW - Nice work, Amigo!
PS: I hope Paul @Paul Bryant reads and comments on this . . .
The manual has the stock cam specs, I made some educated wild ass guesses regarding cam info for the carpenter setup based on some old posts here and discussions with Bob, but you can see with stock or massive cams, the primary size doesn’t varry too much.
Well I did order the Carpenter headers and got the ecu flashed by them. I am supposed to get the stuff on Friday. Very excited about getting them installed and seeing how much of a difference it will make. For two grand I hope so lol.
