Hey Rick, tell me about your luggage rack [please] Mfg/Brand, model number, did it bolt right up or did you drill holes in the fender? Thanks and HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Bought it from my local triumph dealer, I don't recall the brand but no drilling ,bolts up where the pillion seat normally does. 2min job on/off. handy for when I have my saddle bags on, lay wot ever across the rack, bags help take the load. Hope this helps BC

I searched for that luggage rack a few months back and couldn't find one. Looks like they've been discontinued. If you find otherwise let me know. I'd love to have one!

Rivco makes it, but only for Honda VTX-c. Here's a link. Don't know what mods might be required. I took the steel off the bottom of my passenger seat and am looking at using it to mount a rack (with some mods.)

Thanks! Post some pics when you're done to let us know how it works out.

LOL- sure thing -just don't be disappointed if you don't see it for awhile. I have a different rack (than the Rivco model) now that I'm messing with. If it doesn't meet my expectations, then I may try the Rivco rack (at least there is some additional hardware to mess with!) I'm also now working on mounting some hard bags I got from Viking (got EZ brackets as well as Viking hardware that I'm messing with.) I tend to be a bit anal about how things look, how they attach can really affect the looks. IMHO. I love Beetle Bags, but I have a problem paying Corbin 3 (or more) times what everyone else does for their bags. Same with the Corbin bat wing (I now know I can modify a Memphis Shades Batwing Fairing (08-12 Harley FXDF Dyna Fat Bob)) -There's a thread on here that shows how one of our compatriots managed that.
Guess I rather rambled there...

I completely agree with Art here. I consistently get a tad over 40 mpg. at speeds over 80-85 mph. ( with occasional runs into triple digits ) on the interstates with my Carpentered 240 bike. I am using a gallon less than my riding bud who has a stock R3 at each gas stop on long trips. He gets in the low 30s as I used to when my bike was stock ( other than a PC III and Jardines )
I couldn't believe it myself. the engine is a marvel...smooth or smoother than stock, tremendous torque and the increased gas mileage is just a plus I did not expect.
I have not had the balls to use anything but high octane fuel because I did have a problem with pinging under load until I got the timing fully sorted out. I will try it now.
