Blown away by a sportbike in the twisties...

...The Rocket is a high performance cruiser, nothing more. No reason to be ashamed of that. It is what it is. I've stopped trying to chase bikes or any behaviour like that because its just stupid.

I love my Rocket for what it is! The baddest cruiser in the world.

Agreed. I never chase other bikes. It's very much the other way around.;)

Never put a Sumo wrestler in a boxing ring. He's going to be knocked out in 2 minutes or less.
And never put a boxer in a Sumo ring. He's gonna fly out in less than 20 seconds.
So, I guess we have the Sumo part...

Beware of changing front tire sizes on ABS systems. Learned the hard way. BTW I have a brand new master cylinder if anybody needs one.

I don't have any expectations of being able to outride a sport bikes through a bunch of twists and turns. I did ride the monster on about 3-4 hours worth of serious non stop twists and turns this last summer through West Virgina with 5 other guys. I had just replaced my rear tire with the Excedra Max before the trip and was still running the Metzler up front. I was in the lead and kept throwing the bike over in what seemed a pretty effortless manner for my rather conservative riding skills. I could have went faster, but what would be the point as we were out to enjoy the ride. I had to keep everyone behind me in mind, as it would be no fun if someone had a crash and burn situation including myself. As it was, some fell a little back as we rode. Behind me was a Harley, an Indian, a Victory, a Kawasaki and a Yamaha (all cruisers). One of the better skilled riders on the Harley was following me and he told me later...he was amazed at how fast, easy and nimble my R3T looked rolling side to side taking all those turns. He was quite inpressed at my bikes show of handling and performance. We all agreed after the ride that we didn't care if we ever saw another twist or turn for the rest of the trip.

I have no complaints about the handling considering I was throwing around, by my best estimate, close to 1,150 pounds loaded. The beast still rocks and on the straight away I can leave any of my crew in the dust for sure. It is what it is...and I like it!

The R3T is IMHO easier to ride in the twisties, it lays over and responds reasonably quickly in the turns left to right, like many others have said these bikes are out of their depth in a race with the big sports bike ,we were passed the other day by a guy on a brand new Ducati 1299 Penigale ,on our favourite road he effortlessly rounded us up on a set of S bends at warp speed we got to talk to him at the Café we always stop at for a Coffee , a mature rider and nice bloke as well ,it has over 200HP from the factory and 3 riding modes anti wheelie control ect a real Italian Stallion,

I have a Roadster and can state, an Exedramax on the rear and a 140 up front works.
A 130 on the front will fault the ABS. Brakes work fine, just no ABS.
Worked this all out awhile back, but can't find it.
The ABS is controlled by the ECU based on the wheel circumference percentages.
IF I 'member, twas like 8%.
