Best place to ride in the U.S.?

But you're talking about one tiny corner that has some greenery. I've been on the Pacific coast highway in CA. Yes it's beautiful, but it's just near the coast. Most of the state is desert. You bring up Death Valley, and Vegas like it's something nice. I just went to Vegas a couple of months ago. It's all dead inhospitable desert all the way back to TX. The east side of the country is all green. From Arkansas to the north Georgia mountains, North and South Carolina, Tennessee, Kentucky, Virginia and West Virginia, to the north east into the Pocono Mountains, all lush green and beautiful to look at. You can't pass off rocks, cactus, and tumbleweeds as scenery. I'd prefer to stay in the flatlands of the Gulf Coast and ride through the swamps.

Amigo,
I have ridden all of CA many times. There is a lot of beautiful "green" and great twisties thru central CA. Besides, I enjoy and appreciate all colors, not only green. Have you checked out my short vids of UT? Little green if any, yet totally awesome!

Yes sir I've watched your and other videos of areas like that. Brown and dead is depressing to me. All of that dead area is where I'd tow my bike through to ride near the coast where it's green.

Realistically, is there really a bad ride? I can't think of any place I have ridden and said, "Man, that was ugly scenery and a horrible ride. It's all good on a Rocket.

Good Point. Riding the Rocket is like wearing rose colored glasses.

And rose colored glasses really do work to make the colors of the world look better. I have 2 pairs of prescription sun glasses tinted dark black. For some reason within a few months they both turned rose colored. I was a little dismayed but the rose color really does make everything look much better to my eyes. I even took these glasses back to the optometrist and had them re-dipped. They turned rose again in a few months again. So I just left them that way.
