Not on the front though. I could only find two tyres the right size AND speed rating. Avon and Metz. And the Avon Cobra is available in two variants for that size.

The OEM sizes are not the best for handling.
If you go to the rear Exedra Max 240/55R16 and front 140/75R17 you shall enjoy a much better and very noticeably better handling motor.
I have run most all available - Avon is just OK as they wear fast and the fronts cup pretty badly - Michelin Commander II up front works well, but mine had a very short life - I'm now running the new Michelin Road 5 in 140 backwards up front. Bike has been down for some mods and I shall give it a run soon.
FYI -

Watching and waiting to see which tire really is the best. I’m on stock rubber right now. I won’t be riding this bike in the cold as I have other rides that give more weather protection.

Traction and performance is king for me. I would like them to last for a day or two.

Well you had better slow your arse down then

Ya can't really have both, Amigo!
Hi-perf = lower mileage = truizim.
Believe me if you want the best performance, go Exedra Max rear with a 140/75R17 or 150/70R17 front (these are both the same diameter).

Avon Cobra tyres on mine - I live in a sub tropical climate - summer is in the 30C to 40C and winter usually 5C to 20C . Never had the bike slip or slide, currently have completed 12,000km on this set - fronts are about 60% worn and the rear is almost down to the wear indicators in the centre of the tyre.

IMHO..Metz is very good for cold/wet weather riding, just wear really fast, and STUPID quick and the end. Last set I ran Avon front and rear,I wasn’t impressed with the rear. I put Avon front, and Excedra Max before I left for the East coast,5300kms,so far so good,I’m happy with the set up.
