150C at the top of the headers is exactly what I've been measuring, too. (175 between them where those small round discolorations are.) Both with the stock exhaust and after moving to the Werkes.
Removing the AIS would probably be a solution to lower these temperatures, right?
A modification of the AFR and the ignition advances is also a good option...but it is more complicated!
