What does Murdoch do, same as Robinson?
no murdoch doesn’t cut grooves, they just use spirolocs, cutting of the dogs is probably the same or close to it, its a very smooth fast shifter, glides into gear effortlessly, it was cut so i could just break friction by lifting off throttle at top rpm and change gears without using the shifter, regular riding i use the clutch and shift normal, it works great. They polished also.

So no back cutting of gears?
they cut the dogs, same as robinson, murdoch just uses spirolocs and have found no need to cut grooves, Bill and Murdoch know each other for over 20 years they just do theyre on settups, both shops do alot of xda, 4.60, grudge bikes, theyre like carpenter, Lush racing , theyre all used by the big guns

Do they do the beefed up 4th gear or is it not really needed?

Murdoch doesn’t do the billet 4th, i cant really say if needed or not, i really believe its how the trans is cut to slide in and out of gear, and the stock cir clips are just barely adequate. I see how the 4th gets blown up by the dog when it does not go into gear like it should at high rpm.
