That’s excellent news! I took out the cover yesterday and indeed the seepage is coming from the bottom of the gear position sensor. I’ve tightened up the bolts and ordered 2 gaskets off ebay. I am glad that this seems to be an easy fix. Thanks for your reply! Maybe one day I will explore that route 49 - I heard is quite beautiful.
Just making sure- when you said gaskets did you mean o-rings? There is no gasket between the parts, but maybe there should be. I've put in several hundred miles on the new o-rings and holding (for now, anyway).

Sorry, O rings, I stand corrected. Just did the job yesterday- a little finicky to get the sensor aligned, but really easy job altogether. The old O rings were definitely stiffer than the new ones.

I have a bag of those 0'rings and would have sent you some. Yeah, the old ones in mine were pretty stiff too. Hoping Triumph used some inferior materials there and the new ones hold up much better. I still have no leaks with my replacements.

Thanks s lot for your offer! Maybe next time-if there is a “next time”… Hopefully not 🙂

A few hundred miles later and no leaks, o-rings are holding up.
I've lost about 5mm of oil on dipstick over around 500mi, but then again everything "uses" some oil. As I mentioned here Post in thread '2.5 using oil' 2.5 using oil there are no obvious signs. Since I got the Penner tune I've been riding it a bit harder than before so that's probably a factor.
