Mine get cleaned after every ride. We are anal about keeping the bikes in great condition. My biggest issue with riding in the rain is the post ride bike clean up.

I go to extraordinary lengths to avoid “ post puddle”. Lol

Yes, but she finds my ZX14R to be more comfortable. She prefers the "lie on me" position on my ZX to the upright position on my Rocket. Also, she's quite short, which makes getting on my Rocket tricky unless I pull up next to a curb.

Wiigit, I also have a ZX14R. I love the aftermarket passenger bar (attached to the gas tank ring) that allows them to hold onto the bike instead of me. With the risers installed, it is like riding a dirt bike. See pic. I have a touring windscreen and heated grips but have yet to install them. I bought a re-geared sprocket set as well for next season. 1 down and 2 up. Can't wait. I also like the gears saddlebag system as it works perfect on the ZX. The 7-11K RPM experience is hard to describe to folks. It's like 2001 a space odyssey and puts a smile on my face regardless of my starting mood
