Will triumph developed the roadster any further

I agree with Richard (hope the Tassy tiger ain't reading this ).. I've ridden down the Stuart Highway up in the Territory with a 5 foot nothing Kiwi chick riding my mates Rocket, she'd never even sat on a Rocket before riding this one. Pack of us sat on 160-200kph and she rode it like a trooper. Don't think you need any super human skills to ride a Rocket at all. Some people are intimidated by the sheer size and performance they assume a car engine in a motorcycle frame will deliver .. these chickensh!ts are better off staying away from Rockets .... and that's fine by me.
 
I too love the fact that not many are around. At Sturgis last year, seeing many, many thousands of bikes, it took me 3 days to see another. I saw 2 or 3 in a week's riding there.

I'm not one that's possessive about someone riding my bikes. If I figure they won't kill their self, then by all means, give her a go! With the Rocket, it's very funny to see folks' responses when asked if they'd like to try it out: a sheepish look, mild embarrassment, but turn it down nonetheless. For some, it seems it's intimidation at the size/power. For the Harley guys, I think its usually more to do with pride.

It would be nice to have some aftermarket exhaust support, however. When one of the only options comes from a party that doesn't feel the need to put an adequate finish on or even bother to make it reasonably fit, well, there just isn't much support.
 
Let's face it, we've all been spoilt rotten with the rocket awesomeness, I don't think anything will ever fill the void left if I got rid of mine (at least based on what's available right now). This became very apparent yesterday when demo'ing bikes at the dealership open day, I was very happy to get back on my Rocket for the 30 mile ride home I guess if they stopped making them and I eventually wanted a new one to replace what I have I'd be buying S/H and paying good money for it...and I say all this after having just covered 2500 miles on mine

I originally shortlisted the Storm (along side the Victory Hammer S) and the reason I got the rocket instead was because the TB Storm or Hammer didn't have enough in the engine department on overtakes, not enough clearance (I ground the pegs on the demo) and were no where near comfortable enough for my liking...I also hated the tank mounted clocks on the TB too....if there was no rocket I would have gotten the Victory and tried to fix the clearance and seat...

When I started riding again I was 61, now 63 plus.

Height @5' 10", weight 181 (190 when I got the R3R five months ago).
 
It will be interesting to see if Indian does a straight four.

Early days and no one knows what they will come up with next.

Cute as a button 30 something , bit wild as Kiwis tend to be. She'd owned a 750 Bonnie in NZ and I ended up buying a 900 Thunderbird from a bloke in Brissy on her behalf. Oh ..she had a great voice , heard her sing a couple of times .. she just jumped up on the stage and winked at the singer who just handed his mike over .. hahaha. Like I said cute as a button and a bit wild.
 
I would like to see the Rocket 3 Roadster being further developed into its fullest potential. They should lighten it with special composite materials, muscle up the bike into a forward thinking bad ass machine, and offer some innovative technology, limit production and double the price.
