Will my R3T leave a HD V-Rod Muscle in the dust?

Almost ,We had a beer at the Long Flat pub with the 1400GTR rider who was on his way to Port Macquarie I told him I was surprised how well the GTR went and he said the motor is a ZX14 just a little detuned and like most of us he had it remapped and an exhaust change, 200 bullet proof HP a very deceiving bike , same price new as a R3T Hmm temptation:whitstling::whitstling:
NOW THATS NOT TRUE

THE 1400GTR makes 129 HP stock and around 139 retuned and an exhaust NOT 200 thats a fairytale

Having a V-Rod Muscle, I follow a V-Rod forum and I find it humorous they think it's the fastest cruiser out there... I'll admit she red-lines at 9K (Porsche engineered water cooled engine) and can easily hit 90mph in 3rd gear; however, even weighing 200+lbs less I still don't think that's enough to out run my R3T. I don't clean out the cobwebs in or near town, but I wouldn't mind seeing them go head to head in a quarter mile on the track or a one mile scenario. I've seen an R3R hit 116mph on the quarter-mile drag strip here at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.

Has anyone left a V-Rod in the dust? :)

HEY we just modded and Dynoed a TRIUMPH BONNY 2014 it makes 96 HP now in that light bike thats going to be faster than the V ROD

Not doubting your vast knowledge of all things motorcycle but a 10Hp gain for remapping and exhaust on a ZX14 derivative engine appeared a little bit short so I looked it up, talk about fairy tales, 200HP is well within the possibility, not knowing what modifications were made to the bike only a general conversation not a Dyno test ,however I doubt they would have lost 24HP process

NO thats claimed HP at the crankshaft Im talking rear wheel hp on a DYNO and YES 200 HP is a fairytale we work on ZX14s and thats not the same engine as the 1400 GTR

Ah! the old rear wheel horsepower excuse when you are caught out by fact, did I say RWHP NO! just a casual remark about how well a bike went in the real world and what the owner told me,

As far as I know it is a detuned and revamped first generation ZX14 engine (while the ZX14R has the newer version with more cc's).
It has variable valve timing to enhance torque in the low revs, also milder cams and smaller intake valves, among other changes. Honestly, sounds difficult for me to get it to 200 hp. The sharpest version in the ZX14 had a claimed 180hp.

In terms of raw performance, the GTR actually lost against the 1600 BMW in most comparison tests. I personally have won a drag race against that BMW in 2015, using TORs, Ramair and a PCIII at less than 140rwhp.

So, many of our captains should be able to take the GTR out at the lights... anyway, it will be a fierce challenge on the streets if driven properly.

When I buy my next new bike towards the end of this year (I have kept the touring for going on 6 years much longer than I usually keep a bike these days ) I will be looking at a Kawasaki 1400 GTR among other bikes including another Touring, more for long distance 2 up trips to Qld I don't get into stop light drags these days and I am confident the GTR would suit my needs,
I forgot the Suzuki Boulevard Owners Australia Forum rule ,Thou shall not talk up any other motor cycle on a brand/ model specific Forum :cautious::cautious:

I am on a Suzuki site dedicated to a model that hasn't been made in ten years....we talk everything under the sun....and Suzuki's. Everyone has moved on to other models...and only a few of us have the specific bike. But we're all friends.
