As silly as this sounds im not sure if my R3R is a 13 or 14 model , which im told is relevant as ive read on here that the ECU on the 14 cant be map updated with tune ECU ?
Its a phantom black with red stripes model , is there a manufacturing date somewhere ?

Was going to post the engine number and chassis but that may be just a bit to trusting on a public forum....

Sorry for my ignorance mate but im not jiggy with Tune ECU so not sure what you mean by map number, i been trying to get tuneecu to work for the past 6 weeks so ive really learnt nothing.

No problem, we all learn as we go.

Each stock map has an ID number, so people know what map goes to which model Rocket. Boudreaux sent a copy of his map to Wayne Tripp, and Wayne replied saying it was the same as the map in the 2013 models. Tune ECU can and has been used to modify more than one 2014 ECU that I have read about, and one that I opened the secondaries personally. Once you get the proper cable, you should be good to go.

There should be a sticker on the frame - left side just behind the radiator. The sticker will have the Month/Year of manufacture on it.

It will also have your VIN number on it. The VIN is important for some models as the maps are specific to specific VIN ranges.

Mine was manufactured on 10/13 but is titled as 2014. I'm thinking about ordering ECU cable and ramair filter so will see if I have any problems with connection, was wondering if there's a list of vin #'s that don't support the Tune Ecu software?

I had to take a photo and then zoom in to read it. I must be ⅔ blind.

A lot of 2014 models being sold were built in 2013. Ecu is the same mine had the map updated to the latest.
