What RPMS do you run while cruising? Most Fuel Efficient?

2750-3000rpm is roughly 70 to 75 miles per hour. Give or take a two miles per hour. The speed limit on highway 75 is only 65 miles per hour but the police will very seldom pull you over for going ten miles over the speed limit. On some of the Highways here in Oklahoma we have a speed limit of 75 miles per hour. That is when you can have some fun. Just to my south is the creek nation highway, I have had state troopers pass me while doing 90 miles per hour and they have waved, break 100 miles per hour and the waving stops. :(:(:(:(:(

Anything over 3000rpm and mine starts to suck the fuel. I can get about 325km per tank. My light comes on at 200km faithfully but if I am running 3200-3500 rpm it comes on at 170km. Same amount of fuel nets me 30 less km.

X2 on anything over 3000 rpm. I went for a spin last nite and at 65 mph-roughly 2300 rpm my fuel light came on at 180 miles.Anything 2500 and above I've had it come on at 150.

I know I get better gas mileage with SWMBO riding with me than I do solo. :(

But then again, if fuel economy was an issue I probably would not have bought this particular bike. I love the air induction sound through the Ramair, which is probably why my gas mileage seldom gets above 30mpg. ;)

I suspect the Bull was working the 140 back into the thread title

Being 140 RPM vs 140 Kph - yep 140 RPM really would be 'lugging' it at less than 20% idle. 140Kph (87mph) on the other hand is a fair clip and unlikely to be 'lugging' or 'over-revving' it.
