What motivates you?

That's an easy one for me.... TORQUE!! I bought my Stage IV Yamaha Warrior thinking it would be powerful enough for me at 120ft/lbs. and wet weight of only 650lbs. with its aluminum frame. I also much preferred its looks over the R3 which I was also considering at the time. It only took me about a week before I started questioning my decision and 3 or 4 months before I was totally disappointed and wanting more. When I saw an '05 R3 in beautiful condition with low miles and an Aerocharger turbo for sale in the next state over with 212hp and 225ft/lbs I knew I had to have it. 3 years later and I don't regret it for a second. The torque and acceleration of this turbo Rocket is in a completely different league. The Warrior is currently for sale.

I wanted a good touring bike for two up riding that looked good and had good power and torque. I wanted a good bike mechanically as well. The rocket has all that and at a good price. I am used to big bikes and big power and this one fits in that category. I bought the first one I ever saw at a TRIUMPH dealer in southern California on my way home to Las Vegas. My wife and I both agree the Triumph is a great bike.

Oh and, in @LAS VEGAS DAVE 's beautiful shot, above the lift switch cluster, if you look closely, you can see the control switch head for the MC Cruise cruise control.

That really makes it an excellent cruiser.

Today I added another Cruiser gadget to the Triumph. Someone on this site mentioned this a short time back and I ordered one. It works so good and was so easy to install that I also ordered one for the Boss Hoss. I am lazy. if you are not lazy this gadget is just a waste of money, but for me it was good. The gadget is called TIREGARD and it tells you how much air is in each tire to the half pound. All you do is screw the valve caps keeping #1 on the front and #2 on the rear and it transmits the pressure to a little screen that attaches to your ignition key. When you get on the bike you push a button on the display and it instantly shows the pressure in each tire. I have been riding bikes sixty years and I've managed to do fine without this gizmo but I don't check the air like I should and at 74 years old its easier not to get on the ground and find the stem and check it like I should. I bought mine on AMAZON.

Coz I have a small penis ! But mainly because it's put the great back into a very lacking and deteriorating Britain .I've had many bikes , all Japanese and loved em but the Rocket Roadster, now that's a statement ! It stands at the gates of oblivion and sticks two fingers up to all that came before it . Ride it fast or ride it slow, you just can't ignore it !

I have always been a power junkie. We raced enduro's and cross country (hare scrambles) at 12 I talked my Dad in to letting me race his 501 Maico, Our Dirt bikes were always European (KTM, Maico, Husky) so while at a "Dealer Days" at a local Indian Dealer they had a used Rocket III I want to test ride it and was hooked. Found one I liked and bought it, happy as a clam.

Good idea, BUT I have no key!
@DEcosse took it away!
Seriously, tis a great idea -
I just got a similar one that works through my cell phone.
