What do you think about motorcycle recalls?

A couple years I was curious about recalls - who had recalls and complaints. I ended up doing a video on recalls and complaints in the U.S. from 2016 through almost the end of 2021 and was surprised what I found. A few weeks ago I got a tire recall on my Kawasaki and decided to put a few of the top level things I found in a new video below. Usually a NHTSA Recall is a result of a repeated and documented Mechanical Failure, Engineering Design Flaw that was found to be the root cause of an accident in some kinds of Conveyance where major damage, injury or loss of life occurred.

So yes, NHTSA recalls improve highway safety for all.

The system only works when complaints are filed by the consumer.

Or when people die and the manufacturers fear civil/criminal action. A jaded response but true in my opinion.
