What did you do to your Rocket today?

Added an Oxford XA14 disque lock to it and as the cam tensioner measured 19.5mm also added the official (ridiculous expensive) spacer. With the spacer the low rpm low speed engine "knocking" is gone.

Whats that Frans, pictures?

I have a few busted knuckles that will contend your definition of easy :)

If i knew what pain was in comming with each job there would be a lot of jobs i would turn down.
Sometimes customers tell me you sound like u don't want to work on my car. I look them right in the eye and say i don't want to work on your car. Tha next question is why?
I am to old to take a beating.

Yep, Turk did same thing with his '05 R3 and nearly burned it down trying to remove the rear exhaust cans with the center pipe and headers still partially attached. He had similarly stripped the threads of the chrome header cover mushroom cup bolts (but his worst was the horizontal collector cover).

Turk learnt quite a few thing that week:
like you don't need an ignition on if you touch metal to live starter wires;
12v electrons will very happily burn holes in your mufflers to escape that constraining battery and wiring;
it is a good idea to have spares on hand etc.

But he failed to learn that blaming everyone else for your own stupidity is as useful as ignoring their advice in the first place!

Plain old steel exhaust studs are cheap as, and even Stainless Steel ones are reasonable and should reduce the white alloy corrosion of the block and stud.
Squaredeals UK have the stainless ones. Not all agree with their use instead of plain steel ones though.
