What a difference a tire makes!

Quite right John.
I run an Excedra max on the rear, this "about" a ½" taller than the stock Metzler. By dropping to a 140 section tyre on the front ("about" a ½" lower) I have reduced the rake by 1°, it doesn't sound much but boy does it make a difference !
I drew this all up in my Auto C.A.D.

As far as the diff in handling, all the science n math is beyond my level of give a sh!t - I just know I can feel it. Without a doubt I can feel it. No placebo bs

One degree is a hell of a lot.

Front 143/90 - This what a 150/80 Metz 880 ACTUALLY IS fitted.
A 150/70 is coincidently the same as a 140/75

a 160/60 - somebody has - will sharpen it up more.

It was a while ago that I did these numbers, one set of numbers was directly off my bike at the time. I measured the exact height (diameter) of each fitted tyre. Other numbers I found on the net as supposedly "fitted O/A diameter"
So if you can give me the actual diameters instead of the aspect ratio, then I can do the Dwg.

You are on the money. I have done the calculations with respect to aspect ratio and wheel diameter. The bike in stock configuration is running lower at the rear axle than at the front axle. The Exedra Max brings the axles up even and the 140 front lowers the front end a half inch. For some crazy reason the rocket was designed on a reverse dago (front higher) rather than a normal dago (front lower).

I'm not sure it was designed that way tbh. No designer in their right mind would spec' "V" rated tyres for anything like an R3.

FWIW, I also have the Excedra Max rear, so that may well be part of the magic sauce.

So to clarify are you using the "V" rated Excedra Max? as there are two listed on the tire web sites that I have found.

On another note I have looked at a couple different sites and I am finding the best price is on the Motorcycle Superstore. Has anyone found better prices out there? I will keep searching but if anyone knows a good place to look it would be appreciated. I am thinking that I am going to give the combination of Excedra Max on rear and Avon 140-74-17 on the front.
