Welcome Bobby. Don't suck up to Hanso too much; his head's already too fat. ;) But you're right, he's a useful contraption.

Not to worry Bob just ride the bike like you stole it if the tranny goes it will whether your thrashing her or not. If she goes and your good at turning wrenches its not really hard to install the update kit. I spilt my 06 to do transmission work. It already had the update but I bent the input shaft (different grenade problem unrelated to the update kit) and had to go back in her.

Below is a picture of both of mine the one in the back is a slightly modified 06 and had the update kit. It has over 60,000 miles on her and is still running strong.
the one in the front is a 05 basically stock with 37,000 miles on her and never had the update kit.

Hello fellow Rocketeers,

I have owned my Roadster for almost 2yrs and notched up about 20K, I still cannot get over how this bike handles, the acceleration is brutal, the handling is impressive and wherever I go, people stop and talk to me about my Rocket.
I have owned many bikes over the years(Jap,HD,etc) but I have owned nothing that compares to this; way to go Triumph!

I believe everyone on this forum that owns a Rocket would agree, we are a lucky bunch!

Anyhow, I have been following this site and the .com and I am still not sure why there are two... Can someone enlighten me?

Some of the posts on this site crack me up, there are some budding writers here and offer an entertaining read; brilliant....I hope to meet/speak to as many of you as you have a lot to say:soapbox:
