Good Day to you all!

I just joined the R3 group today because i noticed something last night when i was riding,

coming to a stop or just starting to take off from one i notice a small grinding noise (sounds to be coming from rear left of bike) i tried a few different things to isolate when it would happen and best i can tell is that I get the noise at a low speed when i apply my rear break and turn left...

I have just changed the rear breakpads maybe a week ago and cant imagine that i reassembled it wrong (it was just one pin to remove)

My bike just reached 8k in miles, any thoughts or suggestions? Thank you all!

Check fluid in the final drive. If that's good I might take off the rear wheel and inspect the splines on the shaft and the final drive itself.

I would suggest that you " introduce yourself" (in the correct section) prior to pumping us for tech info. So many come on here just to use us for tech support- then never return until they have another issue.
We are all quite willing to help - but please show some manners.
you will find that more members would be more willing to help.

Thank you mikedey,
I checked the level and it was very low. I bought the bike with 5kmiles and never really thought to check it...thank goodness it didn't seem to do any harm :)

The fluid was very black and glittered with little metal flakes (but I think this is the first time its been changed)
But after the test drive it was smooth as could be!

Good lord Mittzy, that's a bit harsh.
