Guys, before anyone buys anything give me a day as I will organise a group buy on some products.
1. The best waterproofing sealer in the world. This stuff literally is the BEST out there. Spray it on and it will protect any textile (Leather, Suede, Cotton, wool, carpet etc.) and no water, oil or liquid can penetrate. It breathes out and will allow wicking but no penetration. We use this in commercial applications but within the next week or 2 we will be able to get it in a spray can vs the 40 gallon drums we currently use.
2. Water repellant. There is an american product we also use on our buildings that literally repels water. I've used it on my car windscreen and I literally don't use my wipers. For a melbournian thats a big statement. I have emailed requesting consumer quantities and costs. This product is a nano tech product that molecularly bonds to the biomatrix of its recipient product and forms a guard. I'll get pricing on smaller stuff for consumer application. I've also used this on my boat and the results are amazing. My antifouling have dropped by 3/4, cleaning has dropped 80% and I never have to worry about visibility with salt water spray etc.
3. Gold drops. This stuff works bloody well. I use it on all my motorsport gear, diving gear, plane windscreens, boat windows and cold rooms in our restaurants. You'd have to buy it from wherever convenient to you but I can recommend it as a great product.

You'll reget using RainX especially if you don't apply it properly. It's a silicone based product that can be a horror show to remove once it goes south. I really like the Plexus
it leaves a micro film of wax and is the best for cleaning both windshields on my RK and Rocket. I used to be able to pick up a 16 oz. spray can of Plexus for $8.00 it's become so popular and the price has doubled and even tripled depending upon where you get it. Amazon has been the cheapest place to get it i found.

The best plastics polish (with light hydroscopic properties) I've found is PLEXUS. I use it on all screens and visors.
I was put onto it by a guy who restored/maintained aircraft. It does NOT leave a film on the surface like Rain-X. ime DUST sticks to RainX.
I rode 450kms at 145kph non stop in a huge weather front that covered Spain at end April, and ne'er a droplet in my vision (OK except one that found it's way through the vents onto the inside) - Plexus protected.
The other option - but is trickier to find the correct mix is to find a PLASTICS specific Nano-coating.
Most are for GLASS and they are not the same.

This basically puts a molecular thin HARD skin of Titanium and Silicon oxides on the surface.
I have used this type of solution in the past - my experience was positive - but you will need to retreat more than you'd expect. I think vibration is an enemy of this solution tbh. The TiO2 is basically a catalyst so resists biological infestations once the sun hits it. i.e kills any bug residue.
Nano coatings are very good if you get lots of light rain which means you get dirt on the screen/visor. It basically reinforces anti-scratch.
Polishes in general fill any existing scratches. Nano's in theory do as well but imo not AS well as basic polish.
