Continuous mention of power gains with this system, especially after larger headers etc but no power numbers, why is this?

I really hope he will make this exhaust system also for the newer bike like mine with two 02 sensors…, btw i try to contact him on both FB pages but no answer

Just be patient guys....Paul works alone and has his head down alot. I know him personally and when he is ready to release his full blown product it will happen. He is still in the early stages of these headers and cans and those of you who have already got or had his systems on other bikes will testify to his quality of workmanship.
He wont release these until he is sure he is ready to take orders....it will be worth the wait i'm sure...cheers.

I’m really thinking about pulling the trigger on headers and exhaust in a few months. Any insight on if these mods and remapping the ecu voids factory/extended warranty or not?

Again I have no doubt that Paul produces quality exhausts but I would be curious to see what the torque curve is on these, it may have increased in quantity but at how many rpm? Is this torque easily usable on the road? There is the question. I come out of the Harley world and I can say that, between camshaft changes, exhaust systems, ECU reprogramming and everything else we generally see that the only change of exhaust (with reprogramming of ECU) induces more horses and torque but at higher rpm. That's not what I'm looking for.

I wondered this about this too. These big engines are flowing a lot of gases. What does funneling them all into a 3:1 with not collector chamber do to the shape of the torque curve, especially at lower rpm and smaller throttle openings? I like the power delivery as it is now. I'd just like to enhance it, not buy higher numbers at the expense of torque where I ride most of the time.
I'm not questioning Paul's expertise in exhaust dynamics. I'd just like to see a dyno graph to get a handle on what would change and where.

I also came to the Rocket from a Harley and I know that tuning those is something of a minefield. You really have to do your research to match the cam and exhaust pairing to the way you ride. I'm also aware from the world of Harleys that one man's "sounds fantastic" is another man's "hell that makes my ears bleed, turn it off" and it's all too easy to dive in and make an expensive mistake. But there is a huge amount of expertise and information around and a plethora of options when it comes to performance upgrades for Harleys, with masses of dyno readouts and comparison videos available online from tuning shops. With the 2.5 Rockets, there's not so much. That's the only reason I ask the questions.

I'd be very surprised if the warranty would be valid with a non-standard map or non Triumph-approved aftermarket parts.

The answer to that is always "it depends". I loaded the Penner tune on my Rocket in the first year, the dealer knew about it, and would helpfully tell me when they did an ECU upload as they figured I would need to load my tune again. They said the burden of proof is probably on Triumph to prove that an ECU tune caused the thing you want warranty on. So for example if you shred the clutch, they are going to say the tune did that. They have no leg to stand on if it's an ABS module fault, a fuel pump issue etc. But it will come down to a) the consumer protection laws in your jurisdiction and b) how hard you are prepared to fight.

FWIW, Triumph have basically turned out an equivalent tune to Penner's in the Storm, with zero hardware changes, so if you are going to try and work out your "likelihood" of failure with a custom tune, I would say it's pretty low. As for a full exhaust system upgrade, it's still not adding tons or extra power, the exhaust outlets to the headers are going to be a similar size to the stock header inlets, so opening up the exhaust is not giving you orders of magnitude more flow IMHO...

...unless you get the 'Viking' system when Paul releases them as they are a two inch header....makes a huge difference to flow.
