Vandemon Headers

Paul made this complete system for me a few years ago. It is his first 2.3 L 1.75" system that allowed me to use Neville Lush 200 HP up grade. I asked Paul to add little bungs so I could add heat shields. My heat shields work out well.

I would rather get a header with design like below, in that vandemon header there is a flaw, all three headers are on single flange plate which could cause leaks in future, my friend built his own headers and it takes separate flanges( same concept as stock headers) , I would rather get separate flange headers than single plate. * just my opinion * Below is photo my friend's TTS supercharged bike custom header.

The Ti version has an individual flange like that for each exhaust port. The stainless uses on flange across all of them.

Hello, I have absolutely no doubt that Paul's system is probably the most adapted to have optimal performance, particularly for maximum power. As far as I'm concerned, I take my Ducati when I'm looking for this kind of performance... For the Rocket I'm looking more for torque and to have an engine that picks up well at low revs and, until proven otherwise, this type of exhaust is poorly suited. So, for me, magnificent work, especially the collectors, but not very suitable for the Rocket! And I'm not talking about the noise which must be really unbearable...

...its way beyond being proven...Paul's been building exhausts for some 30 years!...He has been manufacturing systems for Rockets since way back...His work is exceptional and he understands torque and how to get the best out of your engine by creating such exhausts...maybe you should do more research?

I understand your remark...especially if you use these exhausts. I've never heard a guy say that the exhausts he put on his bike were rotten... Probably a question of ego!

Again I have no doubt that Paul produces quality exhausts but I would be curious to see what the torque curve is on these, it may have increased in quantity but at how many rpm? Is this torque easily usable on the road? There is the question. I come out of the Harley world and I can say that, between camshaft changes, exhaust systems, ECU reprogramming and everything else we generally see that the only change of exhaust (with reprogramming of ECU) induces more horses and torque but at higher rpm. That's not what I'm looking for.

I have been selling Globally for over 30 years.
The fact that this pipe is not suitable for you concerns me not.
I can't please every one, and I don't try.

The "noise" is not at all "un-bearable"

All of my Exhaust Systems are built for road going Bikes, not race bikes.
So the power and torque is spread wide, which is what is requiered on a road going machine.

The stock 2.5 Rocket 3 engine already produces 165ft lb of torque which should please you coming from a Harley background...i believe the best torque on a Harley Screaming Eagle is something like 145ft lb?...maybe a tad more?.....So to have a Penner Tune...a DNA air cleaner and an exhaust system like Pauls with a 2inch header hanging off the side of it i think you would be grinning...and the noise is not too bad...I too dont like LOUD...its hard to explain the sound but angry bees come to mind!
This bike was producing 215hp at the crank so i will let your imagination take over.

Hi Paul,

thank you for your reply. I have no doubt that you produce very good quality exhausts but, when we look at their shape it seems obvious to me that they are more adapted to power than to torque! That being said, I recognize that I could be wrong, do you have any curves on the bench (before and after) that would allow me to visualize the changes brought about by your work?
