Lol, when I bought my Rocket, I still just had a learner's permit, I had my wife follow me to the Triumph Noreast Rally in her car, we camped at a state park. The road in to the site was down into a valley, loose shale with a switchback half way. When we got to the bottom, my wife, driving her car, told me she was scared the was going to go off the edge, into the ravine next to the road, I told her honey, you have no idea, lol. A couple guys from Canada were there, on adventure bikes, one of them did go off the side into the ravine, he needed a wrecker to get it out.Steep switchback gravel would be a deal breaker for me. Maybe would do it on my DR650 if I still had it but no way on the Rocket.
