Quite possible I will ride in Utah again this summer. Hit the NE part of the state last summer 40-191 through Vernal. I've done 191 through Bluff to Moab and 128 multiple times. What I really want to do is 95 to 12, Brice and Escalante. I've don that in a car but not on a bike yet.

Yes that is a great ride. There is a little road out of Boulder UT called the Burr trail that is great as well.

I found that road on Google maps but did not see where it ended up or if it turned to dirt. I don't like dirt.

It is paved most of the way, comes to a cliff and goes strait down with switchback gravel road. Pretty well groomed. The first section on pavement is 45 miles of Zion National Park.

Steep switchback gravel would be a deal breaker for me. Maybe would do it on my DR650 if I still had it but no way on the Rocket.

As an out and back route skipping the gravel it is still worth it.
