urgent help needed.. Oil issues

As others have said ,if the oil is slow out of the sump plugs then the screens are blocked, the oil will be slow to return to the tank if the screens are blocked as well meaning you could be running it with out oil preasure to the crankshaft, which feeds meany other parts.
On early Engines the oil will not stay in the tank for a long time ,several days is usual ,but will make its way down into the sump
on start up all the oil will return to the tank after a few seconds.

If all that oil isn't in your tank then it must be in the sump. Two of the three drain plugs that you pull out, drain the sump. And the oil in the sump must pass through the screens, I believe, to drain out those holes. So if it is draining out at a trickle then the screens must be plugged, if my logic is right.

Your logic is on the money.

Yeaaaaay sorted.. You guys are legends!!!

Pulled the sump and the sieves were blocked which can only be from the old filter because I had cleaned them before.. And the engine was spotless... All running good now.. I'm gonna run it a bit.. With new filter on and do another oil and filter change in 200mile or so and pull the sump again just to be sure
A couple of tiny metal bits, which I reckon were from old filter and a fair bit of black furry stuff. Maybe as one guy said, possibly from cleaning cloths I used.
