Hey guys!

Had a look at the other post I found here but it offered no solution other than to take it to the shop..

As you can see, my bevel box is being a *****. I've tried draining and refilling it (to the correct, filler cap level) and it was fine for a few days, then it started happening again..

Any ideas what I'd need to check or replace?

It's my only form of transport and I need it daily. I've got the tools I need to rip the bike apart, but I don't really know what I'm looking for and I'd love to have the spare bits on hand for when I work on it.

Any ideas, guys?

That's very strange! I was going to suggest you drain and refill but you've already done that. I'm wondering if you have some debris in the vent and it's building up pressure. When the pressure builds up is pukes it out instead of just sitting in there nicely. ???

If there is, what do I do to clear it? How do I even check?

I also have a 2005 that has started doing at the end of last year. The only thing I have changed doing is I have gone to Royal Purple gear lube. Shirley that couldn't be it?

Nah, nothings changed in that regard..
Forgot to mention, mines a 2010 Roadster.. If that makes any difference to anyone haha

I didn't believe Royal Purple had much to do with it and felt as long as was weeping it means it still had lube in it. I would still like to know what causes it. It ain't right.

Yeah, me too.. It's one of those things I don't want to leave alone... Thanks for the info so far dude

Did you tighten to torque specifications - which is quite high on the top filler plug but extremely low on the drain pug - only 9nm from memory.

I did - got the info from my service manual - but it was doing this before I changed it.. It's why I changed it..
