They added a few HP and torque on the older gen Rocket after 6 or 7 years if I remember correctly. They also added ABS. Maybe the new gen Rockets will receive the same HP/torque or a newer tune. I can't see triumph going more than 6 years without doing something to the Rocket because by then used Rockets will be more available and why spend $15K more on a new '2028' when a used 2022 will be available with 20K miles for a steal. Just my opinion.
If we are really going a different direction, I think the best touring bike would be an Indian Roadmaster style of bike with a R3 power plant with shaft drive. A real long touring machine.

A real touring bike not like the old versions of the "Touring". Must have a full fairing, full size lockable hard bags equal to Harley or Indian, fixed lower fairings, floorboards fore and aft, an engine guard bar that will accomodate pegs, sat NAV, four speaker stereo that is bluetooth and flash drive compatible and a rear top box painted to match. Actually Triumph has nothing like this in their line up.
