Update on tire wear on the 2020 Rocket

so far the front tire on my GT has lasted for 10,000km, it will go a little more but will need changing soon, the rear tire was at 6000km when i changed it, picked up a spike and it took two tire plugs to stop it, no thanks, but without the puncture i would have gotten about another 1000km out of it.
The front tire on my Touring lasts about the same, and the rear tire i usually get about 8-10,000km out of it. Admittedly, on both bikes, I take off hard most of the time, sometimes it is brake hard into the corner, then power out hard sometimes with the backend breaking loose and going into a burnout, street racing/dragging, and lots of burnouts with the touring, it has no nanny controls and just does them so effortlessly and you can make it go as short or long as you like, i don't mind buying tires, i get my fun out of them

..my cobber has an R model. Had 6000kms on his rear tyre and was setting up to do a 1300km trip so he put a new Cobra chrome on..$NZ499 plus fitting by the way!...did his ride and upon coming home has refitted the original to get the maximum out of it...looks like there could be a couple of thou left in it...we will see....The wear strips are marked quite clearly albeit small writing.

...theres a guy here wanting to sell a red R model...done 860 km's..its been dropped and has a dent in the tank...not sure how bad....he has a problem with vertigo...he's an older chap...but he wants retail price for it...it aint gonna happen...feel for him but hes gotta be realistic and swallow the bitter pill.
