Update...broke down yet again

Sparks mean that the bolt was to long and tightening down b4 terminals got tight that is why i told you to try and move the terminals.
while you are waiting for bat have them put a washer on the bolt and retighten.
maybe on the positive.
I havent had the bike for 3 days so I'm unable to attempt any of the suggestions I've received here. When it broke down the second time, it was transported to the dealer while I was at work. I dont understand why anything like bolts can be too long or I need washers as it's always been as it came from the factory. Both bolts on either side barely reach the bridge thread anyway as the bolts really need to be pushed down hard to get them to bite into the threads

I see
maybe they were a little short and now they are stripped so it might need a battery.
i would have fixed the problem of coarse i am an expert on fixing screw up's been doing it since 1966 and i have the tools to get the job done.

Wish I had your knowledge mate :)
The bolts end up going in, its just a little effort for it to do so.
The tech guy I spoke to at the dealer suggested that my lack of maintenance (not putting it on a tender or charger while not riding it) may have been a contributing factor. Even the manual says not to let is sit for even 2 weeks without charging! Must be a very low quality battery since I have never had to touch any battery in the 15 years of owning bikes.
I explained to him that once the BMW dealership tightened and tested the battery, it went great for 24 hours. I started and stopped the bike 5 times with no issue then the next day its gone beserk again. I'm guessing I wont have the bike for a while and the cost for this will be huge! He didnt sound confident when we spoke yesterday

was not caused by not charging it
sometimes people think that only the dealers can work on these or they don't know a good mechanic but anyone that is familiar with a volt meter can find the problem and fix it .
i once helped a guy that did not know that much it took a while but we got him on his way.

Thats whats annoying. Worthingtons BMW ran multiple tests on my battery and secured the terminals. 12.4v at rest, 10.4v cranking and 14.2v running. I asked them should I buy a new battery just to be sure. They said no, your battery is fine. 24 hours later the bike is dead for the 2nd time in 24 hours. I got a sick feeling in my gut this wont be a cheap fix or they couldnt find the real cause.

I've always started at the cheapest thing first & worked my way from there...
In your case perhaps throwing a new battery at it would of been the best thing to try. I've never taken my bike to a dealership, I just don't trust them to be honest 👀

New battery on the way. I'm not mechanically minded, especially regarding electrical. The guys at my dealership have always been good to me whenever Ive needed help or free advice. They have the diagnostic gear to do what I cant. I'm more familiar with a hayabusa than a triumph. All I can do now is wait. Fingers crossed its not a big deal although Ive seen several on FB with eerily similar issues to mine. Some were terminal contact, others keyfob sensors, and others just bought a new battery and hope for the best. I honestly cant enjoy a bike I know may break down at any second from electrical flaws.
Here's hoping for good news :)

If they seen the sparks then that's where the problem is so it would simple to make sure you have good connections. Good threads in bat and correct bolts.
If you can move the terminals with your hand then it is not fixed.

Correct. When it first happened monday morning, the positve connection was finger tight. After the tightening and testing at BMW, it was fine. Then pooped its pants again tuesday and the connections were super tight.

If the connections was correct then it would not be sparking.
Now i have confidence in them fixing it. I think
Lol
