Ugliest Rocket ever?

Excellent...

I sure hope your son enjoyed his first ride on HIS new Rocket..
Bettin' he had a blast and kudos to you dad for going the extra mile to make it happen.
Good job.

Thanks

It sure was an emotional day, it was something that Luke has always wanted to do - ride a bike. It was an amazing 100 miles back home.

We are certainly going to have some fun with this beast....very large smiles all round in our household

and in the background of the original picture we have a TUTOR CT114 MILITARY TRAINER JET also known as snowbirds by the canadian military acrobatic team

but congrats.. to the man

I'd never ridden an outfit before, and two weeks before the event I had a days training out on the road with Rod the guy who built it, it's a totally new experience and a different way of controlling a bike

It's breaking the habits of 38 years of solo riding, but I'm getting used to it

As i had owned an R3 for a couple of years previously I instantly knew that it is was the perfect bike to handle the additional weight of the side-car and Luke and his 400lb power chair, the width is always a major consideration especially on some of the narrow B roads we have here and passing cyclists, otherwise you would have a collection of them also joining the outfit on the journey

It's great fun pulling away from traffic lights as the torque of bike still shows even with the weight.

An outfit is obviously not everyone's likeness but it's great fun and never any fear of sliding off on wet / oily road surfaces, and of course it's serving it's initial purpose superbly

Haha :D seen this and couldnt help but think of skip lol

Motopod

Rocket Ronnie I can assure no offence was taken from your comments

Now the outfit has been unveiled we can hardly wait to take delivery, never ridden an outfit before so looking forward to the experience. Had an solo R3 until recently so it's going to be very very different I'm sure.

I make no excuse for singing the praises of the designer and builder of this unique machine, Rod Young of Motopodd, this guy gave us real hope right at the beginning, I had never met him before all this but his enthusiasm and passion for this project was inspiration enough to see this through

He has set up a subsidiary website just for our outfit.

Motopodd Treble Express, Triumph Rocket, Powered Wheelchair Sidecar, Minisite

There is also a full and detailed build blog on the Adventure Rider forum if anyone is interested.

Just the front end to be polished and it will be ready for delivery. We Hope to meet up with a few of you on the road in future

All the best

Alan & Luke

That is about the coolest thing ever!!! I'd sure like to see that grin through the fullface helmet that I KNOW is there, we all share that for sure. Thanks so much for posting.:cool::cool:
