Ugliest Rocket ever?

Ugly

Hi Rocket Ronnie

Thanks for the feedback

I am the father of the son with the ugliest R3, i must admit the picture used was while it was on its first shakedown test before polishing and painting. not at it's best

looks a bit different now and was actually showed at the Custom Bike show at Alexandra Palace in London last weekend.

Unfortunatey as my son Luke is severely disabled with cerebral palsy he cannot support himself without a specialized seating system and is unable to use a manual chair - so you get the picture

Rod Young the owner and designer at Motopodd had to design an outfit that could support a 420 pound wheelchair plus Luke and provide him with the facility to drive into and out of the sidecar as well as constructing a restraining system which would keep the wheelchair safely anchored - hence the shear size and magnitude of the fabrication

Ugly it may be some people's eyes but to Luke it's a magical beast and will provide him with the sensation that us as bikers can only explain

Enjoy!

What a great thing to have done. I loved it when my son was old enough to ride pillion - thankfully the only thing stopping him was his age (and size I guess). Like any father, I'd have done anything to have enabled him to experience to joy of the motorcycle had there been other impediments to his joining me. All power to you; you've done a wonderful thing and I really hope you son gets the thrill out of it I'm sure you did in coming up with the solution. Brilliant. :):):):):):):):):)

Like I said earlier - what you've done truly reflects the triumph of the human spirit. Glad to own the same bike that allowed your son to experience the sheer exhilaration of what so many of us take for granted.
