Tyre Pressures #75

Just bought some oil to top up my Lexy (LS400) and at Repco store saw a tyre pressure gauge on sale. The gauge on my air pressure tool is dodge so a worthwhile purchase. Checked the R3C and front 36 rear 40. Within range unloaded so all good IMO.

Of course I then proceeded to check the tyres on the Lexy and all 4 were at 28psi..FFS...Glad I bought that meter to check the bike tyres

I like 36 & 42.

A good pressure gauge is a absolute must in my opinion, I have a Longacre liquid filled and use it often.

Check out Fobo tire monitors.
Yields pressure and temp with only a look at your cell phone.
Great for us old and decrepit that wish to save our back, knees and hips.

I use a self calibrating digital one. More accurate and better tolerances than most analogue gauges.

you need to bump the front on the bike up to 40 - 42 psi it will steer better and less cupping not mention wear better, even The Triumph dealer's at Nowra (Leah the mechanic) agreed with me that the Owners Manual is wrong

Wow, I've been running 36/42. Front tyre showing real signs of RHS wear (cupping) after 6000kms. Rear tyre is worse after similar kms. Hows the Explorer going? Got a mate up her in the Gong with one.
