OK so I called. To recap. Cutting BOTH connectors is OK. Leave enough wire to attach to EB kit with ONE of the plugs. Run the H4 connectors through the bowls and connect the lights. If you want to keep the position lights use the other plug (or same plug makes no difference).
The EB kit uses the stock circuit to actuate the relays that put direct battery power onto the lights (using BIG wires) so they will get brighter. The function of the OEM system is not changed (at all, in any way). The lo-beam cutout will interupt power to the lo-beams with the engine running so don't forget to turn the lights back on before you dash off into the sunset. :deadhorse:
