Turbo upgrade - "Budget" no longer applicable

Gerald shared these settup with me.
Thanks Kevin, this is the sandwich plate option where I could get oilfeed ( plus I could fit temp/pressure sensors). It would however send unfiltered oil into the turbo. Might not be a big deal, but I would rather tap into the pressure sensor seat if that is feasible. I'm 100% certain someone in the forum knows

Thanks mate. I have been reading through your posts and downloaded your PCV map matching ECU columns and with pressure tables. If I knew what MAP pressure and injectors you run, I would know if thats a decent starting point for Autotune

Good delighted they are helping people.

My engine config is quite different, 2.5 stroker and 9000rpm Carpenter head plus low comp Turbo pistons.
Injectors are 840cc, fuel pressure 4 bar and 2.5 bar MAP sensor.
But if you need assistance setting up a MAP sensor, and autotuning with it give us a shout.

This would be way overkill for turbo'ing a stock engine. I'd say if you can contact @Torque addict as he has plenty experience with such a setup.

Yup that hardware (840cc @4bar, holy mother!) would not be a match, that is for sure.

From where do you get the oil feed?

tapping in to oil sensor at back of head is definitely doable. Not much room but it works, ive ran 2 sensors there with the t settup but you could fab a settup there.

I run a supercharger and it has its own oil circuit, completely independent of the engine oil.

You will need a larger fuel pump. Cheap and easy. Walbro 345 will go almost straight in. I would advise sticking to less boost than 12 until you sort it. Strongly suggest losing some of the stock 210 psi cranking pressure. As others have said, easy to get power, harder to get reliable.

Thanks Neville, you mean Walbro GSS342 255 LPH, right?
