I am guessing that it is worn about 50% on a regular rocket i would say lube it up i don't think it will wear much if you lube every tire change.
on a turbo i don't know of coarse you will have a rev limiter so there is no way you will blow the motor.
what i know about those final drive/shafts
the early one has a grove around the spline collar on the final drive and the driveshaft is smaller
the later is bigger final drive and driveshaft and i do not know the years they changed my 07 is a small one.
i have heard of them stripping but that is with a lot of miles w/o lube.
i hope this info helps it will be a hard decision for you.

Not a hard decision though. I do not want to end up having to source a new final drive.. Ordered a new driveshaft + the special OEM socket to loosen the swing arm nut, new wheel rubber cushings and wheel internal o-rings.
