Triumph Quit Ignoring Your Ignition Problems

Thanks alot hanso for the info.
So i should get the standard eb kit or the one with the low beam cut off switch?

I put the EB on my 2012 R3R per HansO's suggestion.
20K miles, including criss crossing the country with no problemas.

I personally see no advantage of having the switch except for while using TuneECU or other maintenance requiring ignition switched on

Would like to find out if i should get the eb with switch for low beam cut off or without?
After clicking to purchase the eb,there's 3 options to choose over
1)With Fuseholder - Battery Connect
2)Bare Wire Ends - Fuse Panel Connect
3)3 Circuit Solution Connection
Which shall i choose?
Thanks alot for the great help.

Im new here and I am reading through these threads to determine if I am going ahead with a 2008 Tourer purchase. I had a 99 Yamaha Royal Star Venture for 14 years and the ignition switch was a problem as well. On those bikes having the driving lights wired through the ignition switch was the issue. Adding a simple relay solved the problem. I have not seen anyone mention the driving lights, unless I missed that post. Could that be the issue?

The problem is mostly on the Standards and Customs which have dual headlights. The Touring with a single headlight doesn't seem to many problems, but a few have. I don't have the factory driving lights so don't know if they are wired thru the switch or relays. As noted the problem is too much current thru switch. The EB kit uses relays to remove load.

Have a 2005 Rocket SE with 16000 miles. Purchased the bike used in 2006 with 2000 miles. My ignition switch became so loose last year I thought it might fall out. It still worked ok just loose factory bolts which I replaced. Had it eight years only problems have been nails in rear tires $$$$$! Been happy but sounds like I should up grade to EB fix prior to Colorado this June. Sounds easy to modify at home in my garage, instead of roadside emergency repair?????

FYI... I am one of the few who owned the single headlamp/touring model (2008). I had problems with in only a few K on the bike. Traded for a 2011 Roadster with no issues...
