Triumph Bobber Has Arrived

I think that this new rash of retro-bobbers can more accurately be called faux or false bobbers. almost by definition, these factory fresh bikes accnot be considered true bobbers as the "bobbing" must be performed by an owner or his agents post-production, sale and delivery to the end user.

Oh, the haters. I hope they sell a bunch. I like the look, but like Phil says, bobbing is done by the owner, so these are kinda sorta faux bobs. Also I cannot believe that rear suspension has travel worth a ****, so serious handling would be iffy. Looks like fun though, and I hope Triumph sells a lot of them.

Generally my wife (agent) performs all the post production "bobbing" in the house and after 37yrs I can honestly say she is not one of those faux or false bobbers you speak of!;):whitstling::D

I do miss all my Harley comforts. I too would like to see Triumph compete with the cruiser market. Starting with a huge comfy seat. A full upper and lower fairing would be nice with electronic windshield similar to the Indian shield and a thumpin' sound system. If they put all that together they wouldn't be able to make them fast enough. I love my r3t but it isn't a true comparison to a Touring bike be it a Godwin or an Ultra.

Kept being distracted by your avatar, all this talk of false bobbers, true bobbers and bobbing performed by the owner...;)

Everyone is distracted by TriumphPhils avatar......

Was at work the other day with a fellow rider showing something from this site. All he was interested in was Phils bouncing buddies.... :)
