Just wanted to share some photos from our recent trip to the Canadian Maritimes. Did the Trailer of Shame from Virginia up to Dieppe, New Brunswick where we stored the truck and trailer at Atlantic Motoplex, a Triumph/BMW/Ducati/etc. dealer.

Then is was east and north with my wife, Karen, on her 2012 Speedmaster and me on my trusty 2006 Rocket Standard. The link below is to Flickr and the photos are collected into a day-by-day account of the trip. I have a lot of video as well that is taking some time to sort through. Enjoy.

Nice videos. So, do they strap the bikes down on that ferry or just let them bounce around with the waves? :D

Thanks. And good question.

I did a little research ahead of time and most folks said that to bring a towel or similar to put on your seat and then lay the strap across and tighten down. The loadmaster looked at me doing this and said you really don't want to do that. He had us do a four point strapdown. Thankfully they provide short ropes that you can use to slip around the handlebars/footpeg mounts/etc. The bikes weren't going anywhere!

This is a link to another video showing the strap down process. Pardon the bug on the lens.
