Transmission went south

Not knowing at what I'm looking, how does one see the circlip is not where it should be, @warp9.9 ?
See the splines between the two gears? You wouldn't if the circlip was in the groove. See the damage just starting on the gear teeth. Top shaft right side of the left gear which is 4th gear output shaft.

Keep in mine this damage happened because of and after the cir-clip got knocked out of its groove.

None. I thought after all the miles placed on my bike I was safe. That is what I get for thinking.
At least you did get some ROI when compared with less fortunate souls that had to eat that soon after purchase or more than once. Not that it is normal and I would knock on Triumph's door with a bag with gears in my left and a stick in my right hand.
I had and have more than one Rocket and did not have a problem in this respect but I am nowhere close to that mileage on all of them combined. It seems however that it was not affecting the first manufacturing years as it does on the more recent ones. I don't buy the increase in torque explanation as I don't buy the better materials used.
It boggles my mind that a recall was not implemented for this issue that seems to be both seriously dangerous, expensive and pretty common. That they have the nerve to identify it as a manufacturing problem / negligence and still leave the customers to cover the costs it's pretty extraordinary.
