Transmission issue

Ok, update, first big ride since the tranny fix (darn I got to post those pics). Everything seems back to "normal" as far as a triumph transmission goes. I actually think it got better as the day wore on (either that or I just got used to it). I am still thinking a better fluid might even help out more, suggestions?

There have been several threads in the last six months where oil has been discussed in the context of how it affects shifting.

Captains' opinions are all over the place. Near as I can pull out of it, whatever you do, use motorcycle oil, and beyond that 10W-50 seems to be a consensus *except* for folks to the far north.

The beauty is, if the oil is going to make a difference, you could try both, and put a couple of thousand miles on each, and see if it makes any difference to you -- the only person who matters.

Is the bike a unit engine; same oil for engine and gearbox?
