Touring Tires

Rules say you can’t exceed tire speed rating

Then you had better find some "Y" rated tires and I've never seen one anywhere - only for cages.
"W" could work (149+) as my understanding is the speed rating is for running a consistent speed.

EDIT: I remember my Ninja used "V" rated tires and I had it up to 180mph many times.

I can’t find w in oem size just that Pirelli Rossi Diablo 111 but it is a 160/60zr/16 with a load index of 69 but does have the w speed rating, I posted picture earlier in thread

The "V" is a 149 max & ""Z" are 149+ rated, whatever that "+" means is a mystery to me.
Several here have well exceeded 149 with no tire issues. I have had "H" rated tires above 130 many times with no issues.
Perhaps @Claviger will chime in . . .

That would be a good thing because his opinion means a lot to a lot of guys on this forum, the effort he puts into giving good sound information is very helpful to me and I would bet to many others. I for one miss him being here

Anyone running bias tires on their rocket? Seems like the sizes I'd like to switch to are all in bias ply which is not recommended for the rocket. Wanted to go with 130-90-16 / 180-65-16 They should really make more sizes in radials

Yes. Michelin Scorcher 32 rear. Love it.
