The Cobras are fantastic. Sure, I'm comparing them to essentially 100% used up and old Metzelers, but I don't recall the bike ever riding this well on the Metzelers.

Ok, so went with the Avons...man....DEEP grooves on back tire especially. First impression is really smooth, highway grooves have disappeared bike seems to track better...start 6k run Monday with mix of interstate and twisted through 22 states....we will soon see.

@dawb Now that's a ride. You can truly give us a great wear report on your new skins after that little jaunt...

Hey Camptc, Do you have any pics of your Commander II mounted on the bike?
I have one on the rear and I love it but I wasn't sure how a 130 would look on the front.

Sorry, mport. I'll get a pic up sometime soon. Sort of forgot about this thread...

ok....and me and Cobras are back. wow. the cobras look pretty much like new 6500 miles later. they performed well on twisties, as well as on good interstate, ****ty side roads, gravel and dirt (yeah, welcome to Tennessee), dry and hot, wet and hot....no real cold weather on this run. light rain was like no rain, heavy rain was not a big problem, the Cobras shed the water well. a GREAT tire, ive got them front and rear.

two issues which may be unrelated...at really low speed, the front end feels wobbly, im talking 1-3 mph....REALLY low speed. not that big a deal, bike tracks but was unnerving first couple of times it happened. and unsure if my speedo is off. had just installed a garmin for this trip and it was indicating a speed about 5 mph slower than the speedo. not sure if tires put it off or garmin is incorrect or maybe speedo was off all along...installed garmin at same time as tires...will check this out and advise back.

R3T ruled the road out there....ran by anything else on two, four or eighteen wheels. did not see another one and by most folks reactions to it on the road, at motels and gas stations....they had not either. Great bike for the long hauls....and AVON COBRA tires will be the tires on this bike.

it's normal for the speedo to be off every bike or most are nothing to do with the tires use the gps to know where your at it will be closer
