I find anything over 120km/h (75mph) impossible in an open face helmet - feels like it's going to lift off my head - or pull my head off. Same thing in a full face at 180 km/h (110mph). Have no idea how you guys comfortably go faster without rear sets, flat bars and super tight helmet on your scone. My helmets are snug, not jammed on, which is perhaps part of the problem but I don't want to anyway, so it doesn't really matter. In any case, the thing I like about the Rocket is the torque not the top speed.

Agree Richard nothing beat the get up and go factor, especially when in traffic.:D

Who knows, the speedo stops... Tacho keeps going a bit though....

Used to be legal to ride fast in the NT, now we have done a deal with the devils of Canberra, 130kph is the posted deal. Still a bit better than southern states.

G'day mate , how you been ? I posted a photo of my mate Donny's wheelstand at Banarabi ... I couldn't help but remember the one you pulled on the Stuart H'Way near your joint. Me and two V-Rods were heading in the opposite direction , remember that ?? We stopped at the pub and i asked both of them "did you see the Rocket up on the back wheel back there " .. both of them claimed to have not seen it ... dickheads :D !!!!!

I know you're not talking about me mate. ;) Or are you? I was more a side kick - and an ex at that these days.
Don't suppose there's any chance you'll be making the 7,000km trip to Hervey Bay and back?? That would be a bloody long way on your own. Mind boggling.

Don't think he's going to able to get away from work ... same go's for Legs , the other Rocket rider up in Darwin. I let them both know about the shindig a while ago. Darwin to Brissy (Hervey Bay) is a long f#ckin ride , done it 5 times

Have had mine flat knacker a few times can't say how fast I was going as I was looking where I was going at the time.:D

Back tyre oscillation check your tyre pressure Triumph say 42 psi on the rear. I now run 45psi on front and back, this has improved that handling to know end in corners, especially if your giving the ***** a bit of stick.:D:D:D

I'll try to improve tire pressure and give her another go. I'll let you know about the results.

I tend to wear an open face helmet for that reason..at about 90 it tries to strangle me
so i turn it in..however with a full face on..i've had her flat stick a few times no idea
how fast ..i've always been to busy  Just like to say this has been on a private road;)
