My Son's Bike
Hey..
Do you guys know what kind of down force you are putting on the front tire at those speeds ...just with a flyscreen. I can not fathom what the weight is with a full windscreen.
Look at the max weight specs. on your front tire..Then know the Rockets weight, plus your weight. Should be well in the safe range.
A flyscreen at 130 mpg has to be applying 100's of lbs. of down force.
A full windscreen has to put you well into the overload weight of the front tire.
What you are feeling at those speeds is the belts in the tire giving to the over weight condition.....The tire is buckling under all that down force.
Think about it!! The next time you run the Rocket with a flyscreen or a full windscreen at those speeds....Stop asap on clean pavement and look at the chicken strips on the front tire. I thing you will be shocked
Just my 2 cents worth
