Top speed on your Touring?

Had the headstock bearing tightened when I changed fork oil, wobble still there.

IF the bearings are too tight they will cause the wobble the wind screens and mirrors can also cause a wobble what tires and condition and air pressure sissy bars ,whats in the saddle bags ?

Bags don't have much in them usually, the bearings were torqued to spec, has to be the windshield and/or bags. Almost new Cobras. I'm going to try a run with the bags and windshield off when we get decent weather.

I can't take my 2009 past about 85 or 90 mph...anybody go faster on an R3T?
Again, just to be clear, this question is for Touring models, not Roadsters, Tourers or Standards.

If you go over 90 mph, please lsit your tire combination, and method of balancing: lead weights, Dyna Beads, or other.

CARPENTER has several R3T TOURING Rockets out on the road with 265 +HP and they are capable of some impressive top speeds and I havnt heard about any major handling issues of course with that much power I always expect the bikes to be setup with the best tires and shocks and treat it as potent hot rod not a sloppy slow bagger with saddle bags full of tools or who knows what They are not like the slow ass Harleys that cant make it over 100 MPH so treat your bike like a serious muscle bike sissy bars ,spotlights ,fox tails ,Helmet boxes etc. are all going to screw up the high speed stability on these powerful cruisers

I've got a CeeBaileys shield, sissy bar, riders backrest, highway pegs, and fog lights.
My left saddlebag has a few pounds of motoring essentials and the right one is usually empty.
I have premium Dunlops but I'm still using stock shocks.

A buck twenty feels smooth as silk with no wobbles shakes or hiccups. Gets there plenty fast and continues to pull too.

I guess a 265hp machine is quite a commitment.
But if you're not going to use a bagger like a bagger; why pay more to put it in the R3T?

Mine is fine at 120, FWIW, it's when you get up around 130-140 , guestimated, that this occurs. Personally, I wonder if that's the reason Triumph detuned and restricted it compared to standards/roadsters. Just a thought.

Mine goes right to 100 and feels fine, Iv'e not really ever pushed the bike but at a 100 its rock steady even with the windshield and bags.

Same as me ,I have a self imposed speed limit of 160Kph around the old Ton ,my touring pulls strongly up to that speed and sits like a Qantas A380 rock steady and comfortable,

Ive seen one run over 160 Mph and it was rock steady and that was with stock shocks and tires

I have been clocked doing 146 mph at the Ridge race track in Shelton Washington. The R3T is stock running Avon Cobra tires with Balance Beads.
