Why have you not gone the n20 route ? I have been toying with this idea for a while now . Obviously the noz suppliers tell of only sunshine , but yet to get a definitive answer to long term effects ?

Long term affects I am told are dubious at best.
For the present, I'm holding off on the noz.
My motor goes fast as I need in the twisties anyway!

I not sure I would call it concern. Maybe curiosity as to why it was done. It could be thats how the tune was before he started. There are things about the roadster map I have not figured out. They same map viewed in tune ecu is totally different from what you would see in tune edit by tune boy. It could be tune boy did so extra programing to the map. The main differences are in the use of map sensor and contolling of timing. Bassically in tune boy you have timing tables for when your on the map sensor and timing tables for when you not. It does look like you would have more control with tune boy and a real advantage on a braking dyno. Its like the tune ecu more resembles the old style ecu (when viewed on a laptop) its still would be great on a braking dyno it just does not have the ability to see the changes you decide to make until the ecu is flashed, like the older tune boy.

I have heard that the wet delivery systems help alleviate that problem . A friend of mine has it fitted to his zx14 with no problems thus far , and it was fitted to my Busa when I first bought it but I would tear a rear tire out in a weekend so I removed it and sold the system . I have to admit , it left no lasting affect and that engine was perfect ! I'm told the low delivery systems will give around 25 to 35 hp increase with no ill effects . I would like to meet someone who has run it on the R3 to get an honest appraisal and definitely a route I would be interested in following if engine damage was negligible !

yeah there was a change to ECU firmware for Roadsters and then again mid 2013 so some run the early roadster map some the later which is still the same till present
As to OP's question your dealer is only allowed to install Triumph tunes which are inadequate, if you have acces to a GOOD dyno tunner that knows TuneECU, or you can contact me and i can either give you a TuneECU tune that will give a "close enough" tune that will keep you safe or go for a PCV + AT (Power Commander Five + Auto Tune, then run one of my tweaked tunes in your ECU and "My AFR Map" which will get you even closer

Thanks HansO. I'm pretty much on my own here as far as anyone that knows Rockets other than local dealers. I have a good independent Harley mechanic with a dyno who's mapped and dyno'd my Harley. Not sure if he can or does anything other than Harleys. (Although I will contact him and double check) Is there a difference....meaning if you can dyno and now A/F ratio's ect., can you do any bike??
Do your maps address the secondaries, red line, etc.?
My plan was to install probably a Ramair and right now I have a slip on by Dain, but it's not installed yet. I'll install the slip on as I was told that the 12 minute tune should be good for just the slip on, (or not???) but if I do intake mods that's where you need custom tunes. I get the basics but besides this being my first non Harley, I've had mostly carb bikes with my two current rides being my first EFI bikes.

unless requested by the recipient all my tweaked tunes have 100% open secondaries and max speed and rev limits I try to match as closely as possible the fuel according to what exhaust / air cleaner set up, if you want a closer to dyno result I suggest getting a PCV plus the Auto Tune module and then also run my AFR table which and fair few guys are running, my bike purrs like a kitten if ridden quietly or roars like a tiger when I crack her open

HansO's tunes are a very good start. And unless your REALLY fussy and after something particular then you'll be happy. The AutoTune addon does help if you ride in monstrously differing temperatures - here could be subzero in winter and well over 40°C in summer.

Happy to send you my PCV map/gear AFR ratios too - I'll need to find my laptop with windows on - but I suppose I should look for it anyway.

Well I try to ride all year and that can range from low's in the 20's F (-2-3 C), but that's the exception not the rule, up to....high 90's F. (35-37 C) in the summer.

Well I spoke with my HD guy, not a dealer tech, and I totally trust him when it comes to my Harley. He does build hyabusa engines but sends them out for tuning. So he doesn't work on Triumphs but started talking more technical stuff about tuning etc. One thing that came up was removing the secondaries and he got into something that I've seen other say. That everyone want to totally eliminate them, not referencing specifically rockets but in general, and that's not always the best thing. So with out making this post more of a novel... I'm just thoroughly confused and frustrated and apparently will just keep the thing stock with the exception of the slip on exhaust that I bought. Although I've even had second thoughts about that now wondering if just a 12 tune will be enough. WTF!!??

IF you remove the secondaries there is evidence to support removing the cross shaft as well. OR simply have the secondaries open.
I fly in the face of conventional wisdom and DO close the secondaries a bit at lower rpms - though NOT the Triumph numbers.
