Thinking to buy 2014 Roadster

You got it just at the break in point I reckon. I got mine at the same mileage more or less, at end of May and just hit 5000 miles. With my work schedule that's some riding.

So it will be between these two: 2012 with 3300 miles or 2014 with 7200 miles. Prices are about the same but 2014 comes with 2 yr factory warranty. 2012 does not.
Condition wise 2012 seems to be better maybe because less miles. It comes with windscreen and passenger backrest and bag. Not negotiated either one yet but hoping to get around $10K/OTD.

Which one would you choose?

I noticed that name plate on fuel tank is different between two models.

Tires of 2014 is better condition?

Let me try if I can attach pictures properly....

Question on the backrest (This is 2012), when I remove the backrest, is there any parts that fill in the gap where red arrow is pointing to?

How about installing the backrest to 2014? Any parts that I have to buy to install the backrest? Maybe that part comes with the backrest?

The 2014 seems to have a different style of fender support...I bet it has it's own backrest kit. I do think on the 2012, that if you remove that piece of kit, the fender support is chromed all the way around, and should look OK. You know what the notch is for, but anyone else might think it's a design detail.

Well I would say the 14. If I'm right you are looking at RPM Cycle, and that would be my old bike! Complete new engine in it!

If it's got a new engine, that explains the warranty. And it makes the price pretty close to a steal!

So I have not purchased the bike that I inquired on this post. And surprisingly, the bike is still at the dealership. Probably more than 2 months now?
The price is $11,200 OTD with 7700 miles with 2 year factory warranty. This is 2014 model. The guys at this dealership are very nice and I'd like to buy a bike from them but they can't go lower than $11.2K. My budget is $10K. Probably the price is still high for the bike and that's why nobody is buying it... I wish they lowered the price so that I can be riding it right now!!!
Enjoy your rides while I'm dreaming about it. lol
Have a great riding weekend!
